STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- Most power outages following Thursday night's storms are concentrated on two area communities, affecting more than 2,700 homes and businesses.

About 1,700 FirstEnergy customers in Strongsville are without power this morning.

On top of that, more than 1,000 in Newbury Township in Geauga County are without power as well.

No school closings have been announced. All school closings will be reported on air and online through our iAlert school closing system.

There is no timetable for when power will be restored.
