Louisville: Lightning started middle school fire

LOUISVILLE -- Fire department confirmed that a fire broke out on the roof of Louisville Middle School about 2:50 p.m. today.

Multiple fire departments in Stark County responded to the scene.

Viewer Kyleigh Zwick sent a photo and says it is of the lightning bolt that struck the school. The fire department confirmed that a lightning strike started the fire.

The school has grades 6-8 and everyone was evacuated from the middle school and stayed safe in the high school.

School officials tell WKYC's Will Ujek that classes will resume Thursday.
