DENVER - Snow has started falling in Wyoming, and forecasts for snow and high winds have parts of Colorado bracing for snowdrifts of 2 to 3 feet through Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service says the spring storm could bring 6 to 11 inches of snow through Tuesday to Denver International Airport.

Before the storm arrived, it was 70 degrees at the airport at midday Monday, and a fire burned across about 2 square miles of grazing land in eastern Colorado. No structures burned.

In Wyoming, a winter storm warning includes the cities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Rock Springs, Casper, Rawlins, Riverton and Lander.

The storm could boost mountain snowpack, which helps provide water through the summer. Colorado's snowpack was at 69 percent of average Monday. Wyoming's snowpack was 77 percent of normal.
