FORTUNE, Newfoundland - The Canadian Hurricane Centre says all tropical storm warnings have ended for Newfoundland as post-tropical storm Leslie moves out to sea.

Jean-Marc Couturier, a forecaster with the Canadian Hurricane Centre, said Tuesday afternoon that all wind and tropical storm warnings have ended.

He says Leslie passed through Cape Bonavista in northeastern Newfoundland early Tuesday afternoon, and headed out to the Atlantic as a post-tropical storm.

The storm made landfall Tuesday morning, knocking out power to thousands and forcing all flights to be cancelled at the island's main airport.
