CLEVELAND -- Meet Pam Pemberton.
She was 30 when she went missing near Tremont in October 1994.
Now meet Christina Adkins. She went missing in the same area three months later.
She was 18 and just past the halfway point of her pregnancy.
20 years and countless dead ends later, two cases appear to be cracked and police believe Elias Acevedo is responsible.
Today, the two families are in very different places.
We start with Pam.
Her body was found in the '90s. Her sister had to identify it.
According to the sister, the FBI has now told her Acevedo admitted to the crime. The FBI denies it told the sister that information.
Pamela's case is well on its way.
Christina's case has a little ways to go.
Last week, a body was found near the I-490/I-71 split, we learned that an ID belonging to Christina was found nearby, but the body has yet to be formally identified.
So, her family is at a different place.
What seems impossible is that after 19 years of dead ends the phase of moving on can begin as early as tomorrow.
