MAYFIELD HEIGHTS -- The suspect in the Mayfield Heights triple-stabbing earlier this week is in the Cuyahoga County Jail and will be arraigned Monday morning.
Matthew Cepik was charged with three counts of attempted murder, aggravated burglary, six counts of felonious assault (two for each victim) and tampering with evidence.
Mayfield Heights Police say the triple stabbing that happened on Golden Gate Boulevard was apparently the result of a relationship gone bad.
Mayfield Heights Police say Cepik is accused of breaking into a condo at 1390 Golden Gate Boulevard and stabbing three people.
Solon Police caught Cepik on state Route 422. Solon Police say Cepik intentionally ran onto 422 and in front of a box truck.
The Mayfield Heights victims were taken to Hillcrest Hospital. One of the victims, identified as a man, had surgery, while the two women are in stable condition.
Their identities have not been released.
Police say he allegedly stabbed a mother, daughter and a family friend. Mayfield Heights police say Cepik was also taken to Hillcrest Hospital that day but was released.
