CLEVELAND -- Amanda Berry's mother never had the opportunity to reunite with her daughter.

Seven months after Berry went missing, Louwana Miller appeared on the "Montel Williams" show in 2004 and spoke with psychic Sylvia Browne about her daughter's fate.

Browne's outlook was grim, declaring that Berry was dead.

"Will I ever see her again?" Miller asked.

"Yeah, in Heaven on the other side," Browne responded while indicating she believed Berry's body was in water.

Miller was devastated by Browne's prediction and passed away in 2006 at the age of 43 without ever learning the truth.

As we all know now, Browne was wrong.

Very wrong.

Last week, Berry was found alive after she and two other women escaped a home where they were held in captivity for years.

In the days following Berry's rescue, Browne quickly became a target on social media.

Browne responded to her critics and addressed her inaccurate prediction by releasing this statement on her website:

"For more than 50 years as a spiritual psychic and guide, when called upon to either help authorities with missing person cases or to help families with questions about their loved ones, I have been more right than wrong. If ever there was a time to be grateful and relieved for being mistaken, this is that time. Only God is right all the time. My heart goes out to Amanda Berry, her family, the other victims and their families. I wish you a peaceful recovery." - Sylvia Browne

Included with that statement, the website says Berry's cousin, Sherry Cole, reached out to Browne to "let her know that she supports her, loves her" and knows "Sylvia never claims to be 100 percent right."
