CANTON -- Fifty-eight people were arrested on a number of charges after police responded to a noise complaint connected to a house party in Canton.
Police say when they arrived at the scene shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of Cheshire Circle SW, they found an "extremely large and out of control" party with as many as 250 people.
As a result, 41 adults and 17 juveniles were arrested on charges including underage drinking and obstructing official business.
The juveniles have all been released to their parents.
Police say four additional adult arrests are pending as warrants are being filed with the courts.
The Massillon Police Department offered mutual aid to assist with crowd control, which would bring the total number taken into custody at the party to 62.
Police say the partygoers ranged in age from 15 to mid-20s.
