AKRON -- As she walked back toward her vehicle at a gas station Tuesday, a woman saw an unknown man sitting in her driver's seat.
When she approached, police say the man jumped out of the vehicle and attacked, punching her in the face several times while trying to steal her purse.
During the attack, which happened around 1 p.m. in the 900 block of East Exchange Street, police say the suspect snatched the woman's keys and fled northbound on foot.
The victim suffered a broken collar bone with injuries to her face and knees.
A few hours later, police say the same suspect struck again in a different location with a different victim.
It was around 3 p.m. when the suspect reportedly approached a woman as she was waiting for a bus at the intersection of Upson and Stone streets around 3 p.m. After asking the woman what time it was, he allegedly grabbed her purse and ran from the scene.
The suspect has not yet been identified, but police say he's approximately 17-20 years old.
