RUSSELL TOWNSHIP -- Five severely emaciated horses were seized by Rescue Village's Humane Agent this weekend in Montville, Ohio.

All five horses are now safe, under veterinary care, and being supervised by the Rescue Village Humane Law Department.

Rescue Village is the only humane society in northeast Ohio that runs a barn program.

They are asking the public for immediate help by making a donation to Rescue Village's Project S.A.V.E (Saving Animals with Veterinary Emergencies).

This project funds animals with above and beyond care and medical emergencies to ensure they get the second chance they deserve. The five horses face many months of re-feeding and rehabilitation.
