SOLON -- Police officers responded twice within two hours Saturday to Marc's on SOM Center Road after security guards caught two women suspected of shoplifting.
At 12:30 p.m. police arrested Nadezhda Sherman, 65, of Twinsburg, for theft for trying to leave the store with $40.82 worth of merchandise hidden in her purse.
Two hours later, police officers returned and arrested Bria Gosha, 19, of Bedford Heights, for trying to leave with $75.03 worth of merchandise hidden in her purse.
Another woman with Gosha did not stop when told to by security guards and remains unidentified and on the loose.
In an unrelated incident, a Solon woman, 58, told police that her wallet was stolen at Marc's about 3:10 p.m. that afternoon.
She said she left it on the check writing stand at the register as she was checking out. She realized this before reaching her car but it was gone by the time she re-entered the store.
