CLEVELAND -- Just before 6 p.m., there was a massive water main break at East 9th and Theresa Court, which is between Superior and Rockwell avenues.
Police closed that stretch of East 9th. As of 10 p.m., a water department spokesperson told Channel 3 News that all lanes have re-opened to traffic.
RTA had been notified and RTA buses were re-routed around the closure. At 6:20 p.m., the Cleveland Water Department turned off the water.
The water department determined that it was a six-inch main that broke and it was on the property of the building owner so the building owner will be making the necessary repairs.
It's not clear how long repairs will take. So far, no comment from the building owners on this situation.
We will update you when more details become available.
