Winter Storm Warning continues through Saturday

CLEVELAND -- Lake effect snow will continue to accumulate across parts of northern Ohio through Saturday mornning.

As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a number of warnings and advisories for the Channel 3 viewing area.

A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga through 7 p.m Saturday night.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for: Carroll, Columbiana, Holmes, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, Wayne through at least 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

SATURDAY...

* ACCUMULATIONS....SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES ARE
  POSSIBLE WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS UP TO 10 INCHES POSSIBLE
  MAINLY IN NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA.

* TIMING...THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...WITH A DECREASE IN SNOW
  SHOWERS STARTING SATURDAY MORNING...BUT IT WILL REMAIN WINDY.

* WINDS...WEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.

* IMPACTS...ACCUMULATING SNOW IS EXPECTED THROUGH SATURDAY
  ACROSS THE SNOW BELT COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST OHIO AND NORTHWEST
  PENNSYLVANIA. IN ADDITION...STRONG WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING
  AND DRIFTING CAUSING NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AND VERY
  DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.

* TEMPERATURES...AROUND 30.

* VISIBILITIES...VISIBILITIES WILL BE GREATLY REDUCED IN SNOW
  AND BLOWING SNOW.

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
EXPECTED. HEAVY SNOW AND/OR ICE WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS. IF YOU WILL BE TRAVELING IN THE WARNING AREA YOU
SHOULD CHOOSE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE IF POSSIBLE... OR YOU SHOULD USE
