CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson laid out the city's snow plan.
The storm will start with sleet, then ice, with winds up to 35 mph.
Cleveland COO Darnell Brown said 48 crews have been out since midnight treating the roads. Brown said an additional 12 road graders will be put on the road this afternoon.
Browbn said the cty has 18,000 tons of salt on hand for the roads.
Safety Director Marty Flask said private businesses in Cleveland to University Circle have been asked to dismiss their employees at 1:30 p.m. today.
Government offices will be dismissing their employees at 2:30 p.m.
That way, traffic will be spread out over several hours this afternoon.
Drivers are reminded not to "block the box," which mean not blocking intersections. Flask said there will be 24 additional police officers at intersections to help direct traffic.
