VANDERGRIFT, Pa. -- A Pittsburgh-area man has been arrested for allegedly shaking his young daughter so hard she suffered brain damage.
Police say 30-year-old Matthew Milisits of Vandergrift admits he shook the 8-week-old girl on Thursday because she wouldn't stop crying. The baby is on life support at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Milisits was charged Friday with aggravated assault and other charges. He was jailed after being unable to post $500,000 bond.
A message left for his attorney was not immediately returned.
