In the upcoming election, voters need to get all the facts. The Cleveland Metropolitan School District wants to inform voters about what Issue 107 really means for the schools.

If voters pass issue 107 in the November election, the funds would:

  • Attract, retain and develop quality teachers
  • Replace failing schools with new, high quality schools
  • Increase graduation rates in every Cleveland neighborhood
  • Prepare graduates for college and careers
  • Create longer school days
  • Replace out-dated books with new ones and upgrade technology.

If Issue 107 doesn't pass:

  • Layoffs of more than 500 teachers
  • Eliminate some after-school activities, arts and enrichment programs
  • Creating a shorter school day, so students will be out earlier

And more cuts will lead to bigger classrooms and less individual learning
