MILAN TOWNSHIP -- The Ohio Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist injured in a Friday crash has died from his injuries.

Troopers investigated a single-vehicle injury crash that occurred on Kelley Road, south of Mason Road, Friday just before 8 p.m.

Troopers say that Charles W. Reed Jr., 62, of Sandusky, was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle.

Reed was traveling northbound on Kelley Road when he struck a deer that entered the roadway. Reed was ejected from his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries at the time of the crash.

Reed was not wearing a helmet. He was taken by LifeFlight to St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

On Tuesday, Reed succumbed to his injuries and died.
