LORAIN -- Police in Lorain are investigating separate complaints from two boys that a man tried to lure them into a car while waiting at a bus stop.

On September 11, a boy says a man approached him at a bus stop at G Street and Fillmore and offered him a piece of candy. Another car pulled into the intersection and the man drove off. The child says he later saw the man again and described the car as being a beige 2002 Ford Taurus with a partial plate number of KEL.

On September 12, a boy told police a man in a car approached him at the bus stop at McKinley and Euclid. The boy says the man offered him candy and says the man got out of the car when the boy refused. The child hid until the man drove away. He also told police he saw a handgun on the car's dash. He described the car as being a sedan with multi-color patches on it.

Both incidents took place around 8:30 in the morning.

Police say despite the slight difference in descriptions, officers suspect the same person is involved.
