CLEVELAND -- Two Northeast Ohio communities are being honored among the best in the nation for young people to grow up.
Medina and Hudson have been named among the nation's 100 best places for young people, according to rankings released overnight.
The rankings are part of a competition from America's Promise Alliance and ING.
The winners were selected based on communities that showed a dedication to giving young people a healthy, safe and caring environment, while also seeing that more of them graduate from high school.
The competition has been going on for six years.
Medina won for the first time this year. Hudson is winning for the third time.
