Cleveland: Light malfunction causes scare at downtown building

CLEVELAND -- All fire crews are back in service after a light system malfunction caused concern at a downtown building.

A department spokesman says it received a call of a possible explosion after a battery to a lighting system malfunctioned at a building on West 3rd.

The spokesman says the initial reports of the explosion turned out to be false. There was no explosion or injuries.

Crews returned to their stations after conducting a floor-by-floor search of the building.
