WADSWORTH -- The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday morning.
Wadsworth police saw two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed on High Street Saturday morning.
When an officer pulled behind the motorcycles, they began to slow down, turning into a Drug Mart plaza.
The officer saw that one of the motorcycles did not have a license plate and attempted to do a traffic stop.
That's when the two motorcyclists split up, going in different directions.
The officer followed the motorcycle without the license plate at a high rate of speed. The motorcyclist, Janko Sudicki, lost control and crashed near High Street and Reimer Road.
Sudicki was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second motorcycle was later spotted by Norton Police. Ryan Coy was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
Wadsworth Police Chief Randall Reinke said, "This was a tragedy that did not need to happen and my condolences go out the Sudicki family."
