AKRON -- Police and fire crews responded to the scene of a semi truck that lost control on the I-76 west entrance ramp from I-77 north Sunday afternoon.
The truck, loaded with large rolls of paper, lost control in the curve and flipped over before striking a guardrail. The guardrail pierced through the truck's cabi, missing the driver by mere inches.
The highway had to be shut down for a few hours and has since reopened.
The driver was headed from New Jersey to Wooster before the crash happened.

That cause of the accident remains unknown at this time. The driver was able to escape with minor injuries.
