His goal is to travel the nation and visit America's greatest breweries.
In the process, Rice plans to raise money and awareness for autism. He will also be the subject of a documentary, chronicling his journey.
A local Cleveland favorite, the Great Lakes Brewing Company, will officially be his first stop Thursday.
To celebrate, Great Lakes Brewing Company is donating $1 from each pint of beer sold on June 20 to fund Lance's tour.
Lance Rice and the documentary filmmakers will be at the restaurant and pub to greet guests and well-wishers.
Rice also plans to write a book on his experience and the history of beer.
