AKRON -- The Akron-Canton Airport has told Channel 3 its website has been hacked.
The attack came Saturday morning at 8 a.m. on akroncantonairport.com by a TurkishAjan group.
This is the same group that hacked into the City of Akron's website earlier this month.
The group targeted names, emails, cities and phone numbers of airport contests.
No email passwords or credit card information was on the airport's website.
The airport claims the website is operating normally and was secured as of 10:30 a.m.
Kristie Van Auken, Senior Vice-President and CMCO with Akron-Canton Airport released the following statement:
"We are working with our web consultants to ascertain how the attack occurred and intend to reassess all of our web security protocols and implement any needed improvements at the appropriate time."
If you signed up for an airport contest within the last two years you are asked to change your password.
Passengers flight itinernary and personal information on the iternary have not been compromised.
The FBI has been called in to assist in the investigation.
