CLEVELAND -- Sony Pictures is on the search to find a young boy to co-star in "Heaven is for Real" -- a new movie set to film this year.
Producers will only consider boys between ages 5-8 for the following role: "Colton is a Caucasian 4-5 year old with blond hair and 'otherworldy' blue eyes. Possessed of an open, honest face, he's innocent yet perceptive, with a lovely singing voice. Colton nearly loses his life after his appendix ruptures. Although terrified when he's taken in for surgery, he emerges as a calm, comfortable, self-assured little boy who casually offers up his observations of Heaven."
If interested, parents need to e-mail their name, phone number, child's name, child's date of birth and a photo of the child to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once a submission e-mail is complete, producers will send more details regarding the opportunity, including information about a casting call that's slated to take place in Cleveland on Sunday, April 28.
No acting experience is necessary.
IMDB.com lists the plot for "Heaven is for Real" as follows: A boy recounts tales from his visit to Heaven after recovering from an emergency operation where he temporarily died."
