In a cruel coincidence, many of last night's screenings of "The Dark Knight Rises" were preceded by a trailer for a film with an eerie similarity to the events in Aurora, Colorado.

The trailer for the film "Gangster Squad" features a scene in which 1940's era gangsters shoot up a movie theater filled with patrons.

The film, which scheduled to be released in September, stars Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling. It's advertised as being based on a true story of mafia activity in Los Angeles.

However, the trailer has since been pulled by Warner Brothers, the studio that produced Both "Gangster Squad" and "The Dark Knight Rises".
