AKRON -- Octavia, Cora or Scarlet? What will it be?
The nameless octopus at the Akron Zoo's new Journey to the Reef exhibit will pick her own name on Monday morning with the touch of a tentacle.
The Akron Zoo says they received more than 2,200 names from around the United States and Canada in a contest to name the octopus.

All three names -- Octavia, Cora and Scarlet -- will be written on enrichment balls and placed into the octopus's tank at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Whichever ball she touches first with one of her eight tentacles will be the name she's given.
The person who submitted the winning name will receive an octopus prize pack and a behind-the-scenes tour of Journey to the Reef. If more than one person submitted the winning name, the Zoo says everyone who made that submission will be placed into a random drawing for the prize.
The soon-to-be-named octopus weighs 20 pounds and is about four feet long from the top of her head to the end of her arms.
The new Journey to the Reef exhibit debuted at the Akron Zoo on May 26.
