The City of Cleveland's Department of Parks, Recreation and Properties restored and preserved 21 acres of wooded ravine and open space.
The park includes retaining walls with native plants, scenic outlooks, custom benches and hand crafted railings.
A 2/3-mile paved all-purpose trail was also created to link Harmody Park with the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
The newly created path now allows for public access from the Old Brooklyn neighborhood into the ravine and towpath.
Local leaders, including Mayor Frank Jackson and Congressman Dennis Kucinich were at the dedication and spoke out how this new park was a positive development for Cleveland.
