Ohio Edison crews are on the way to restore power.
The outage area originally included parts of Columbia Station, Elyria Township, Lorain, Grafton and North Ridgeville.
As of 10:30 a.m., a check on the company's website (see the link below) listed the remaining customers without power numbered less than 500. Most of the remaining outages were in Columbia Station and Elyria.
The same web site says outages of 500 customers or less are scattered across northeast Ohio including outages in Lake, Geauga, Summit, Stark and Ashtabula Counties.
A larger outage estimated between 500 and 2,000 customers is being reported in Cuyahoga County including Broadview Heights, Cleveland, Euclid, Olmsted Falls, Parma and Shaker Heights.
