Members of Project Linus handed out more than 250 blankets at the school.
The handmade blankets came from across Ohio and other states including Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee, Texas, Maryland, Oregon, Washington and California.
Project Linus, named after the familiar blanket toting character from the “Peanuts” comic strip, is an organization dedicated to providing the handmade security blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children and young adults.
Members say the blankets given at SuccessTech were meant to show the students that people, even those they have never met, care for them and want them to find comfort and peace.
Two teachers and two students were shot when 14-year-old Asa Coon opened fire in the school. The troubled teen gunman then took his own life.
