Developers Peter Rubin and Bob Stark both want to build community-shaping projects in Solon. But only one can win. Rubin is teaming with Developer Scott Wolstein, proposing a mixed use project along Som Center Road near city hall. Bob Stark, the man who created Westlake's Crocker Park project claims to already have control of his site at the corner of Routes 43 and 91. Stark and Rubin have been partners before. But they are rivals here. Senior Political Correspondent Tom Beres interviewed both men asking the same questions about the merits of each project, dealing with location, traffic, community benefits, timeline and tax dollars. Bob Stark also talked passionately against the proposed Route 83 I-90 interchange and had strong words blasting Avon's mayor and Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove. And he talked about the status of his proposed massive Warehouse District project for downtown, claiming the next couple months would decide whether it goes or flops. Stark is waiting to learn if several key downtown businesses looking for new headquarters will buy into this project. Click "Play Video" to hear both interviews.
