Overnight, police responded to the area outside the West 25th Street club for reports of a large crowd fighting in the street. During the scuffle, shots were fired.
When crews arrived they had to push through the pack of people and eventually found a person who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital.
A short time later, another call came in for another rowdy crowd at East 55th and Woodland. It was discovered that this fight was apparently related to the earlier incident.
One person went to a local hospital via private transport, claiming to have been shot during the second fight.
Through it all, police made several arrests.
There has been no word on the victims' conditions.
As if that weren't enough, the owner of Moda is scheduled to be sentenced today. Emad Silmi, 31, pleaded guilty last year to selling cocaine and marajuana, then using the money to purchase and open the club. He faces up to seven years in prison.
