Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders will miss at least six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a broken orbital bone near his right eye.

This injury, suffered when Sanders took an elbow from Houston guard James Harden in a Feb. 8 loss to the Rockets, is just another blemish on his already disastrous 2013-14 campaign.

After inking a four-year, $44 million contract extension over the summer, Sanders missed almost two months early in the season after tearing a ligament in his thumb during a bar fight and took a step back on the court when healthy.

In 23 games, Sanders has averaged 7.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots. Those numbers are down from a breakout 2012-13, when the former VCU big man put up 9.8 points, 9.5 boards and 2.8 blocks per contest.

The Bucks are just 3-20 this season with Sanders in the lineup.
