Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brian Moorman will be returning for a
14th season with the Buffalo Bills in 2014, as the team announced Friday that
it has re-signed the veteran punter to an undisclosed contract.
Moorman re-joined the Bills for a second stint in early October and
participated in 11 games, though his 41.2 yards-per-punt average was his
lowest since the 2007 season.
The 37-year-old previously served as Buffalo's punter for 12 consecutive
seasons prior to being released three games into the 2012 campaign. Moorman
then signed with the Dallas Cowboys and recorded a 44.6 yards-per-kick average
in 12 contests while placing 22 punts inside the 20-yard line.
An AFC Pro Bowl selection in back-to-back years with the Bills in 2005 and
2006, Moorman holds franchise records for total punts (923) and kicks inside
the 20 (259) and owns a career average of 43.8 yards-per-attempt. His 190
games played ranks fifth-most in team history.
