(SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs look to continue their recent
dominance of the Southwest-rival Dallas Mavericks when the two clubs collide
Wednesday at the AT&T Center.
The Spurs defeated Dallas, 116-107, on Dec. 26 and have won six straight, 10
of 12 and 11 of the past 17 matchups in this series. Dallas is winless in five
straight and 13 of 19 trips to the Alamo City.
San Antonio will play two straight and six of seven games at home and recorded
a 110-108 overtime victory at Memphis on Tuesday. Manu Ginobili's layup with
1.8 seconds left in overtime lifted the Spurs, who scored 12 of the 22 points
in overtime after the Grizzlies went 34-24 in the fourth quarter.
Tim Duncan tallied 24 points and 17 rebounds for San Antonio, which squandered
a 12-point lead with under two minutes to play in regulation and eventually
prevailed for the fifth time in six tries.

Orleans next Monday, the Spurs will return home for four games. In injury news
for San Antonio, Ginobili left Tuesday's game with a hamstring issue and is
questionable versus the Mavs.
Dallas will play two straight games on the road and is unbeaten in its past
four away from Big D. The Mavericks, who will also make a stop in New Orleans
and are 8-9 as the guest, ended a two-game slide with Tuesday's 110-97 victory
versus the hobbled Los Angeles Lakers.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points, Vince Carter chipped in 19 off the bench and
Monta Ellis ended with 16 points with nine assists for the Mavs, who have won
four of their last six games and scored 25 points off 20 L.A. turnovers.
The Mavs shot 53.3 percent, recorded a season-high 17 steals and had a 58-32
advantage in the paint.
"It really was a team effort tonight," said Carter. "We were focused and it
was a must-needed game especially with us heading out on the road."
DeJuan Blair added 15 points and nine rebounds, while Jose Calderon posted 12
points and eight assists. Mavs forward Shawn Marion had eight points before
leaving with a right shoulder injury. He is questionable Wednesday.
