Thursday would have been Jesse Owens' 100th birthday.

He was born in Alabama but moved to Cleveland at a young age. Owens attended East Tech High School and then Ohio State University.

He dominated the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, winning four gold medals in front of Adolf Hitler. He's considered one of the greatest Olympians of all time.

To celebrate the life and athletic career of Jesse Owens, WKYC welcomed another Olympic great who's from right here in Cleveland.

Four-time gold medal winner Harrison Dillard competed in the 1948 and 1952 Olympic summer games.
