CLEVELAND -- A special moment of silence will be held Wednesday at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in remembrance of the Sept. 11 attacks.
Officials with the Transportation Security Administration, Cleveland Police Department airport unit, Cleveland Public Safety department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will participate.
The event begins on the public side of security checkpoint B beginning at 8:30 a.m. As a result, checkpoint B will be temporarily closed during the ceremony.
TSA's Color Guard will "present arms" for one minute for silence at 8:46 a.m. -- the exact time the first plane struck one of the two Twin Towers in New York City 12 years ago.
The TSA's choir will then sing "America the Beautiful" and the "National Anthem" immediately after.
The event is open to the public.
