Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Michael Young's game-winning RBI single in
the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-3 win
over the Colorado Rockies in the third installment of a four-game set.
The Phillies trailed 3-2 entering the ninth after Nolan Arenado's RBI single
in the eighth put the Rockies ahead.
Erik Kratz doubled to start the ninth against Rafael Betancourt (2-4) and John
Mayberry moved pinch-runner Casper Wells to third with a groundout. Pinch-
hitter Carlos Ruiz ripped a double to left to plate Wells before Jimmy Rollins
was intentionally walked. Young then lined a single down the left-field line
to bring home Ruiz for the winning run.
