Video: RTA bus driver suspended after punching passenger

SHAKER HEIGHTS -- A passenger punched by an RTA driver during a argument on a bus has been found guilty of disorderly conduct.

Another passenger captured the incident from a bus in Beachwood on cell phone video and it quickly went viral. The video showed the passenger, Shidea Lane, arguing with the bus driver, Artis Hughes. The argument ended when Hughes punched Lane in the face.

Lane came into a Shaker Heights courtroom with her 5-year-old daughter and pleaded no contest but had no agreement in advance to a finding of guilt.

Despite her attorney's request, the judge found Lane guilty of the charge of disorderly conduct.

Lane will be sentenced after a hearing before the probation department.
