Bay Village: Police make back-to-back alcohol-related arrests

BAY VILLAGE -- Police made two traffic stops early Sunday morning for alcohol-related incidents.

At 12:36 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road near Bryson Lane. While speaking with the driver, 19, the officers noticed a case of beer, as well as numerous other unopened bottles of alcohol, in the back seat.

The man was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

Just before 3 a.m., police stopped a vehicle again on Lake Road near Porter Creek for a traffic violation.

After speaking with the driver, 22, the officer suspected she had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered and, as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.

Her 19-year-old male passenger was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol.

All will face charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
