Prosecutor: Man indicted in Olmsted Twp transgender murder

CLEVELAND -- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty confirmed that Andrey L. Bridges, 36, of Cleveland, was charged in a six-count indictment, including one count of aggravated murder, one count of murder, one count of felonious assault, one count of kidnapping, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of gross abuse of a corpse.

On Jan. 5, Bridges is accused of stabbing the 20-year-old victim, Carl Acoff, Jr , also known as Cemia Dove or Ci Ci, , multiple times, resulting in the victim's death.

On April 17, police responded to 7166 McKenzie Road in Olmsted Township for a report of a body floating in a retention pond on the property.

After further investigation, Bridges was arrested on May 6 and is being held on $5 million bond.
