WESTLAND, Mich. -- The body of a missing firefighter has been located in a burned-out section of a Detroit area strip mall.
Wayne-Westland Deputy Fire Chief Robert Arbini identifies him as 29-year-old Brian Woehlke and says he'd been with the department about 10 months.
His body was found Wednesday after a search and rescue team entered the gutted building.
Woehlke went missing when the roof collapsed Wednesday morning in Westland, about 15 miles west of Detroit.
The fire was reported about 8:30 a.m. Crews had the blaze under control by noon. A billiard hall and a restaurant are believed to have been destroyed.
