Police: Man robbed of cash, lottery tickets

CLEVELAND -- Police need help in identifying a suspect seen on surveillance video after a March 18 robbery.

Just before 7 a.m. March 18, a man was robbed after purchasing Ohio Lottery tickets at Chili's Beverage at E. 112the Street and Forest Avenue.

While walking home, the victim was attacked from behind by an unknown suspect. The suspect knocked him to the ground and struck him repeatedly on his left side with a screwdriver.

The suspect then went through the victim's pockets and took lottery tickets and cash and ran off.

It was discovered that the suspect was in the store when the victim purchased the lottery tickets. After robbing the victim, the suspect returned to the store and got a refund for the tickets.

While getting a refund for the tickets the suspect was caught on a store surveillance camera.

The suspect is 35 - 40 years of age with a mustache, stands about 5' 8" tall and weighs 160 lbs. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
