Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Jimmy Rollins' go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the opener of a four-game set.

Rollins finished with two hits and a pair of RBI for the Phillies, who have won three of their last four games on the heels of a four-game skid.

Jonathan Pettibone made his MLB debut for Philadelphia and fanned six while surrendering two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision. Raul Valdes (1-0) came in to pick up the final two outs of the top of the sixth to get the win.

Pedro Alvarez and Russell Martin both had two hits and a solo homer for Pittsburgh, which was coming off a three-game sweep of the Atlanta Braves.
