BAY VILLAGE -- Just before midnight Friday night, police were called to the intersection of Clague and Lake roads for a one-car accident.
Officers located the car teetering on one of the wooden barricades on the north side of Lake Road.
The driver, a man, 63, was still in the vehicle attempting to drive off the barricade, but three of the car tires were not in contact with the ground.
After speaking with the driver, officers suspected the driver had been drinking.
Field sobriety tests were administered and, as a result, the driver was arrested and charged with OVI.
He will face the charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
