The Akron Police Traffic Bureau received a tip from the Summit County Crimestoppers, Inc., regarding the hit-skip accident.
The accident occurred on Goodhue Drive on March 15, 2013. Investigators followed up on the tip and interviewed William E. Wilkes, Jr., 38, of Akron.
