BAY VILLAGE -- Early Tuesday afternoon, a Drake Drive resident called police, saying a man was trying to break into her home.

Police arrived to find the man, later identified as Robert J. Friswold, 23, of Bay Village, still trying to break into the rear of the home.

Police said Friswold, a former friend, had previously been told by the family not to come to the house.

Friswold was arrested and charged with aggravated trespassing and aggravated menacing.

Police said Friswold was also charged with criminal trespassing for going to the house of an ex-girlfriend last Monday.

Police had told him to stay away from the Drake Drive home as well.

His attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in Rocky River Municipal Court via fax on Thursday.
