Bowling Green, OH -- Chauncey Orr scored 18 points for the Bowling Green Falcons who defeated the Kent State Golden Flashes, 70-55, in a Mid-American Conference meeting at the Stroh Center.
Orr was 4-of-5 from beyond the arc for the Falcons (7-11, 2-3 MAC), who earned just their second win in the last nine tries. A'uston Calhoun put together a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds while Jordon Crawford managed 12 points, six assists, and four steals.
Randal Holt scored 17 points to go with five steals for the Golden Flashes (11-8, 2-3), who have now lost two in a row. Chris Evans contributed 13 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a losing effort for Kent State.
Bowling Green led 35-22 at the break after holding the Golden Flashes to just 27.6 percent shooting from the field in the first half.
In the second half Kent State was outscored 35-33 while both teams shot just above 46 percent from the floor.
Bowling Green shot 42.9 percent from long-range, knocking down 6-of-14 attempts, while Kent State struggled from deep, shooting just 17.6 percent on 3-of-17 attempts.
