MADISON -- One woman has been arrested and two men are being sought for their involvement in a spreeo f break-ins, thefts, and the ensuing vehicle pursuit early Saturday morning.

The Lake County Sheriff's office responded to an early morning alarm at the "Let It Shine Car Wash" in Perry Township. There the deputy found that the coin machine had been broken into.

As the deputy was investigating, a call came in that Madison Township police were in pursuit of a vehicle that had driven off from the Giant Eagle in Madison.

Sheriff's deputies, Madison Township police, and North Perry police were able to bring the vehicle to a stop but not before two men jumped out of the moving vehicle and ran away.

The Perry Village police K-9 was brought to the area but the men were not found.

Upon further investigation, police and deputies confirmed that the trio was at the Madison Giant Eagle attempting to cash in a large amount of coins.

Police and deputies investigating say it appears the trio had broken into a numerous vehicles in the Madison area, stealing Christmas gifts and credit cards.

They used the credit cards to make large purchases from the Giant Eagle in Painesville Township, purchasing items such as gift cards, movies and CD's.

They then drove eastbound on state Route 20 where they broke into the coin machine at "Zappy's Car Wash."

From there they went to the "Let It Shine Car Wash" and broke into the coin machine there.

From that point they went to the Giant Eagle in Madison Township in an attempt to cash in their stolen coinage.

A joint investigation continues with the Madison Township police department and the Lake County Sheriff's office.
