YORK, Pa. -- Police in central Pennsylvania say a man will face charges after assaulting a McDonald's restaurant worker in a rage because there was cheese on his hamburger, which he had apparently wanted plain.
Authorities say the man knocked over a trash can, threw a high chair and left the Springettsbury Township restaurant after receiving the sandwich on Friday morning.
Police say an employee went outside to get his license plate number and the man allegedly attacked her as she tried to call 911.
He allegedly wrapped his arms around the woman, took the cell phone from her hand and threw it across the parking lot before fleeing in his vehicle.
The employee suffered minor injuries. Police have not identified the man, but they say he will face charges.
